Op-shops (thrift stores) in our area get valuers in to price jewellery and other pricey stuff so there are no bargains there anymore. Clothing is getting pretty expensive too at the op's. Its frustrating because I know they throw out truckloads of perfectly good stuff that doesn't sell. But half price days or 'fill-a-bag-for $5' days are still pretty good value.<br />Garage sales all depend on the seller. You'll go to some where everything is overpriced and they won't haggle. I'll walk away empty handed. Others, you secretly laugh up your sleeve at how cheap things are.Joannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12824924349210440889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1743949257926922390.post-79068011490331635222009-06-15T08:34:23.873-04:002009-06-15T08:34:23.873-04:00I am a little jealous! We've only been to yardsales 2x this year. 8(...possibly this morning its still early! Its always a bonus to find new things still in the package. I have a basket of "gifts" that I have stashed also.
