Maybe someone out there in bloggyland can help me with this. I took a long hiatus from blogging while my little one was an infant, and I'm slowly but surely getting back on the blogging train. While I was away, it seems that blogger and google hooked up, however the sites I follow are not working the way they should.
It used to be, if I clicked to add a site to the list of sites I follow, it would refer to me as sewing-chick and have my little photo there in the list of followers. You could click on me and then see a link to visit my blog. Well that's not the way it's working now. It now refers to me by my first name as if Jodie and sewing-chick are not one and the same. A mention of my own blog is nowhere to be found. Ideas, anyone? Did I miss something while I was away?
Thanks so much! *Hugs!*
HMMM not sure but, log in to your dashboard and try editing your profile.
ReplyDeleteIts something to do with the Friend Connect widget that now has the followers in it. If, as you say, you are visiting a blog and click "Follow" it will display your Google ID rather than your Blogger one.
ReplyDeleteWhen I add a blog I do it by copying the URL of the blog and going to my Dashboard, then using the Add button at the bottom of Blogs I'm following. That way my Blogger ID comes up instead, which links to my profile as per usual.
Clear as mud? Someone may know another way around.
Yay, I figured it out ladies! Don't ask me how I did it, but somehow when I was adding another link, I was able to link my google account to my blogger account. Yippee!
ReplyDeleteOk, I think I know more how to do it now in case anyone out there is dealing with the same crap. Go to your dashboard, "Manage" the blogs you're following, and click "settings." It will say, "Already have a profile on the web?" and you can choose to use it instead. You can click on the "Blogger" symbol, and then all my old stuff appeared!
